Day Three on the The Cambrian Way mountain trail 479 km (298 miles) with a total ascent of 22,460 m (73,700 ft). I think it could be Britain's hardest long distance trail. Its hard to say but looking at the map i think i started todays episode around the Mynydd Garnclochdy area i want give exact camping locations away. I was so wet from the rain all night i set about getting ready to walk around 4am just to keep warm. I was no risk at cold from the time of Year and in good health. So walked back up towards Mynydd Garnclochdy i think. The rain came back on top the hill. The rain was very bad so much so i could only see about couple of meters ahead what with the mist as well as the dark even with two powerful lights. By this time my cannon camera was destroyed by the weather i should know by now and my phone was useless take note people think phone navigation fine lucky i know this i used my garmin fenix3 gps watch with the track loaded onto so i knew i was heading in the general dir

Great langdale campsite and Keswick Ambleside

Lake district Day 6
Cumbria
England
UK

Great langdale national trust campsite has good wind protection. Also is good to know i think that some the money goes back into maintaining the paths in the National park. If though windy i the wind protection was so great did not effect my tent much. As today weather was not so great i took the bus to Keswick and Ambleside. Folks top tip for those hitchhiking and using public transport like my self if arriving by train to the Lakes in Oxenholme rather than getting the train from there into Windermere get the stagecoach bus into Kendle buy a 1 week pass if your going be there for a week which is under £30 and you can use it as much as you like over a week and just about ever public bus in the lakes is a stagecoach bus. Train tickets always book least week in Advance and buy separate ticket for each changing point normally works out lot cheaper. Ok back to my day i visit the Derwent Pencil Museum building but i did not pay to see it due to very limited funds but maybe another time if you love Pencil i think it be worth it as its home to the Worlds biggest Pencil. As always when i am in Keswick i get Fish and Chips from The Kingfisher chip shop. Very good fish and chips and good value check them out. I got the bus to Ambleside after just have look around. Lots of shops selling local produce and products please do check them out. Is good get some thing you can easy buy else where.
