4 season backpacking

Day Three on the The Cambrian Way mountain trail 479 km (298 miles) with a total ascent of 22,460 m (73,700 ft). I think it could be Britain's hardest long distance trail. Its hard to say but looking at the map i think i started todays episode around the Mynydd Garnclochdy area i want give exact camping locations away. I was so wet from the rain all night i set about getting ready to walk around 4am just to keep warm. I was no risk at cold from the time of Year and in good health. So walked back up towards Mynydd Garnclochdy i think. The rain came back on top the hill. The rain was very bad so much so i could only see about couple of meters ahead what with the mist as well as the dark even with two powerful lights. By this time my cannon camera was destroyed by the weather i should know by now and my phone was useless take note people think phone navigation fine lucky i know this i used my garmin fenix3 gps watch with the track loaded onto so i knew i was heading in the general dir...

I was in the OEX bush pro bivvi with a light weight summer mat and a summer mountain Mountain Equipment sleeping bag. In the early hours the rain started and then came the lightening i was around 300 meters high on a ridge. I was not sure how far away the lightening was as there was no typical bangs alot the time but it looked very close. The dark sky light up like a giant camera flash. My sleeping got wet from the strong rain but was still ok for another night in the Bivvi. In the morning i set of over the Caerphilly train tunnel by a disused quarry. Next town was Machen which has the last supermarket right on trail until Abergavenny. There is a COOP supermarket at Machen and Machen stores which is what i used. It was a late start in Cardiff. Still this time of Year is still a good amount of day time. The trail starts at Cardiff Castle grounds however if you want to see the castle it self you do have to go a little bit of trail which i did not as i have seen the castle many times. It was a walk along the River Taff almost from the start for some way until the route headed away from the river towards Melingriffith Water Pump after which i headed along the abandoned Glamorganshire Canal. After the canal i came out to by Asda Cardiff Coryton Supercentre by the M4 where i topped up on food and drink. The Holiday Inn Cardiff is near here which be a option if you prefer not to wild camp. Last night i wild camped at Sugar Loaf mountain. Sugar Loaf mountain is 596 metres above sea level. It is a popular misconception that Sugar Loaf is an extinct volcano. I woke up to a sunrise over  the Skirrid, or the ‘Holy Mountain’ legend is a dramatic landslide on the north of the mountain was caused by a earthquake or a lightning strike at the moment Christ was crucified. There was a local tradition that earth from the Skirrid was holy and especially fertile, and it was taken away to be scattered on fields elsewhere, on coffins, and in the foundations of churches.  Rudolf Hess used to walk here when he was held prisoner at nearby Maindiff Court during the early 1940s. Last night i camped on the The Cambrian Way Britain's hardest long distance trail this part of it is also the Beacons way. First Coffee and a all day breakfast can. After getting the tent down i made my way along the The Cambrian Way (Beacons way) for a short while until a small path going down the steep side of the mountain. Care was needed this time of Year as it was all overgrown and hard to see where the big drops of the path was. After being stuck and covered in ticks maybe i got to a road in the end i could stayed up on the ridge on the  Cambrian Way (Beacon way). original plan was to walk back to Pandy  and catch the X3 stagecoach bus from there into Abergavenny. I had what may have been a tick bite and with all the hysteria over Lyme Disease when it is low risk i have had my back covered in them in 2014 and just scratched them of and that was in a red deer area with long grass by a river in North East Scotland while on the End to End trail John o' groats to lands end. Again only a month or so ago i had a tick in the private parts only realised after it being there for few hours i would think managed to remove it in bits i did clean it well this time it did go a bit red but nothing to worry about. I still feel ok. I wounder how many people think they got Lyme Disease when its just a cold or normal pains and i guess they do a blood test i no idea? First of sorry about the shaky camera work and terrible sound. This was filmed before i upgraded to gopro 7 and gimbal. The gimbal is now broke and i still need a microphone that handles wind on the gopro 7. I also badly need more hard drives ideally i need four 8gb hard drives but for now one will have to do.
