Day Three on the The Cambrian Way mountain trail 479 km (298 miles) with a total ascent of 22,460 m (73,700 ft). I think it could be Britain's hardest long distance trail. Its hard to say but looking at the map i think i started todays episode around the Mynydd Garnclochdy area i want give exact camping locations away. I was so wet from the rain all night i set about getting ready to walk around 4am just to keep warm. I was no risk at cold from the time of Year and in good health. So walked back up towards Mynydd Garnclochdy i think. The rain came back on top the hill. The rain was very bad so much so i could only see about couple of meters ahead what with the mist as well as the dark even with two powerful lights. By this time my cannon camera was destroyed by the weather i should know by now and my phone was useless take note people think phone navigation fine lucky i know this i used my garmin fenix3 gps watch with the track loaded onto so i knew i was heading in the general dir

Any i waited 2 weeks saw the doctor who thought might look like a Melanoma and she took photo of it sent of to some place in Oxford they never even bothered calling me back. Then i got a call from my doctors who made me a appointment with there skin specialist  to which i had wait another week had no clue what to think or what to expect. I was gettin

My pre summer solstice trip to Scotland June 2019. Summer solstice countdown 17/06/2019 Last night i wild camped half way up Ben nevis at the loch. I wanted to get a early start to avoid all the tourists nothing wrong with tourism i promote it but i wanted to show you its possible to a have a relaxed walk even at the most popular mountain in Scotland if your willing to wake early and i am a tourist my self. It was raining early morning i  got away around 5ish i wanted set of about 3am i think but no way was going out in the rain is was below zero up there i think and i only had summer hiking clothes. Still i managed to get to the top before any one else. It was a different matter on the way down. I really wanted sleep up in the shelter but with the gear i had it would been very cold and even at night time there was still fair amount people still coming down the mountain. I think i may come back one day out season with winter gear and stop night in there. There was no views at the

My pre summer solstice trip to Scotland June 2019. Summer solstice countdown 16/06/2019 My camping spot last night was amazing in that i am in Isle skye in peak season and not a camper van or other tent in sight. I was the only one there. Even had a BQ and firewood and a view of the mountains of the mainland. Today walking to Armadale Ferry Terminal to catch a ferry to Mallaig Ferry Terminal on the mainland. For a foot passenger it is £3.00 one way. From Mallaig i am getting the Shiel Buses 500 bus  to Fort William which is a small bus you can buy a ticket on the bus but i found it a very little bit cheaper buying the ticket online from citylink which is £6.10 at time of writing this. Then i will walk almost half way up Ben Nevis from Fort William. I will wild camp on Ben Nevis. But first i went to Morrisons in Fort William to stock up on food. Then i made my way to Ben Nevis Britain's highest mountain. Where i camped half way up at the loch in the vango f10 helium ul 1 tent

Summer solstice countdown 15/06/2019 Last night i wild camped up on Broadford Marble line on the marble quarries at Kilchrist Near Kilchrist Cill Chriosd. It was constructed around the 16th century, replacing an earlier Medieval church on the same location, and was used until 1840. The location is thought to have a heritage of Christian worship dating back to the 7th century. Records from 1913 show that there were a pair of unusual gravemarkers in the graveyard - one dedicated to Chief Lachlan Mor and carrying "obscure hieroglyphics", the other possibly dating from the pre-Christian era. However, both have since vanished. The graveyeard appears in the 1984 video Lament, from Ultravox This morning i walked back down to Broadford where i went to th

From Andoversford we walked up to Belas Knap Long Barrow. Belas Knap is a neolithic, chambered long barrow. It is a type of monument known as the Cotswold Severn Cairn or Cotswold-Severn group, all of which have a similar trapezoid shape, and are found scattered along the River Severn. Construction is estimated to have taken place around 3000 BC, with following successive burials over a period of years and then the burial chambers were deliberately blocked. What appears to be the main entrance to the barrow, with intricate dry-stone walling and large limestone jambs and lintels is, in fact, a false one. This may have been to deter robbers, although little in the way of value has been found in undisturbed tomb chambers. Alternatively, it could have be
