Day Three on the The Cambrian Way mountain trail 479 km (298 miles) with a total ascent of 22,460 m (73,700 ft). I think it could be Britain's hardest long distance trail. Its hard to say but looking at the map i think i started todays episode around the Mynydd Garnclochdy area i want give exact camping locations away. I was so wet from the rain all night i set about getting ready to walk around 4am just to keep warm. I was no risk at cold from the time of Year and in good health. So walked back up towards Mynydd Garnclochdy i think. The rain came back on top the hill. The rain was very bad so much so i could only see about couple of meters ahead what with the mist as well as the dark even with two powerful lights. By this time my cannon camera was destroyed by the weather i should know by now and my phone was useless take note people think phone navigation fine lucky i know this i used my garmin fenix3 gps watch with the track loaded onto so i knew i was heading in the general dir

Midge attack emergency in the Jack Wolfskin Gossamer tent.
First of sorry about the shaky camera work and terrible sound. This was filmed before i upgraded to gopro 7 and gimbal. The gimbal is now broke and i still need a microphone that handles wind on the gopro 7. I also badly need more hard drives ideally i need four 8gb hard drives but for now one will have to do. If i do not get these there maybe a big hold on future videos until i do unless i can get the funs together as i this is a hobby not a job. The day i had a midge ambush when midges attack. midges are small fly's that show no mercy and bite you in swarms
Midges are a group of insects that include many kinds of small flies. Highland midges found in upland and lowland areas (fens, bogs and marshes). North west of Scotland and northern Wales the highland midge is usually very prevalent from late spring to late summer. Female highland midges are well known for gathering in clouds and biting humans, though the majority of the blood they obtain comes from cattle, sheep and deer. The bite of Culicoides is felt as a sharp prick. It is often followed by irritating lumps that may disappear in a few hours or last for days, depending on the individual. At dusk and dawn stay inside if possible and close windows and doors. Midges also become less common above 700m so campsites on higher ground are ideal. Choose light coloured clothing as midges are attracted to dark cloth. Wear long sleeved clothing to reduce the amount of exposed skin

My pre summer solstice trip to Scotland June 2019. Summer solstice countdown 12/06/2019 New Tolsta is next the beach i wild camped last night at Traigh Mhòr a fantastic beach less than a house by bus from Stornoway. This morning heading back to Stornoway on the w5 bus. I stocked up on food and drink at Stornoway tesco supermarket. I charge my gear up for a hour at Stornoway Lewis Ferry Terminal.
