Day Three on the The Cambrian Way mountain trail 479 km (298 miles) with a total ascent of 22,460 m (73,700 ft). I think it could be Britain's hardest long distance trail. Its hard to say but looking at the map i think i started todays episode around the Mynydd Garnclochdy area i want give exact camping locations away. I was so wet from the rain all night i set about getting ready to walk around 4am just to keep warm. I was no risk at cold from the time of Year and in good health. So walked back up towards Mynydd Garnclochdy i think. The rain came back on top the hill. The rain was very bad so much so i could only see about couple of meters ahead what with the mist as well as the dark even with two powerful lights. By this time my cannon camera was destroyed by the weather i should know by now and my phone was useless take note people think phone navigation fine lucky i know this i used my garmin fenix3 gps watch with the track loaded onto so i knew i was heading in the general dir...

The Cambrian Way. Day 8. Hardest long distance trail in Britain.
First of sorry about the shaky camera work and terrible sound. This was filmed before i upgraded to gopro 7 and gimbal. The gimbal is now broke and i still need a microphone that handles wind on the gopro 7. I also badly need more hard drives ideally i need four 8gb hard drives but for now one will have to do. If i do not get these there maybe a big hold on future videos until i do unless i can get the funs together as i this is a hobby not a job. I wild camped the night at the bass of Yr Arddu. It was a windy night and the weather was only going get worse. Most of today was on the The Snowdonia Slate Trail. fist bit was the Cambrian way then headed down to the village of Croesor on the The Snowdonia Slate Trail . After the village it was a walk along a small road to a old mine track upto the mine ruins on Foel Ddu croesor quarry. There was some big water falls on the way and many ruins from the old mine days at Cwmorthin Quarry. The wind was so strong at the top i had grab hold of some big rocks to stop being blown of the side the mountain. I headed down to Tanygrisiau village where i join the route along Tanygrisiau Reservoir and walking along side the Ffestiniog Railway and pass Ffestiniog power station. I then head down the valley to Rhyd Y Sarn where i came to the A496 road. It was then a very busy road to Llechrwd Campsite where i had a brake for 2 nights due to the extreme weather reported for next few days.

Any one taking on this route will have good navigation skills ok with strong winds on steep ridge walks. Have a very good level of fitness. I have personally found this trail to be the hardest in Britain. I found it even more hard than the Te Aroara trail in New Zealand which is much longer. Which i both carried 40 to 50kg on my back.

The magnificent South West Peninsula Day Zero i get the national express coach from Birmingham to Penzance for just £18 one way. I arrive late in the dark and strong rain. I then get the M6 First Kernow bus from Penzance to Mousehole. I arrived at Mousehole harbour from there i walked in the dark along the coast path to find a suitable camping spot which i did after not to far out of mousehole. Day one I set of back to Mousehole had a good look around the harbour then got the M6 First Kernow bus back in to Penzance. Got few bits extra food and drink from Iceland supermarket near the bus station then got the open top A1 First Kernow bus to Lands end from Penzance. From lands end i took in the spot i ended my walk that was twice the length of Britain from John o' groats to lands end on the end to end trail. I walked past the First and last house in England.
