Day Three on the The Cambrian Way mountain trail 479 km (298 miles) with a total ascent of 22,460 m (73,700 ft). I think it could be Britain's hardest long distance trail. Its hard to say but looking at the map i think i started todays episode around the Mynydd Garnclochdy area i want give exact camping locations away. I was so wet from the rain all night i set about getting ready to walk around 4am just to keep warm. I was no risk at cold from the time of Year and in good health. So walked back up towards Mynydd Garnclochdy i think. The rain came back on top the hill. The rain was very bad so much so i could only see about couple of meters ahead what with the mist as well as the dark even with two powerful lights. By this time my cannon camera was destroyed by the weather i should know by now and my phone was useless take note people think phone navigation fine lucky i know this i used my garmin fenix3 gps watch with the track loaded onto so i knew i was heading in the general dir

First of sorry about the shaky camera work and terrible sound. This was filmed before i upgraded to gopro 7 and gimbal. The gimbal is now broke and i still need a microphone that handles wind on the gopro 7. I also badly need more hard drives ideally i need four 8gb hard drives but for now one will have to do. If i do not get these there maybe a big hold on future videos until i do unless i can get the funs together as i this is a hobby not a job. I wild camped the night at the bass of Yr Arddu. It was a windy night and the weather was only going get worse. Most of today was on the The Snowdonia Slate Trail. fist bit was the Cambrian way then headed down to the village of Croesor on the The Snowdonia Slate Trail . After the village it was a walk along a small road to a old mine track upto the mine ruins on Foel Ddu croesor quarry. There was some big water falls on the way and many ruins from the old mine days at Cwmorthin Quarry. The wind was so strong at the top i had grab hold of some big rocks to stop being blown of the side the mountain. I headed down to Tanygrisiau village where i join the route along Tanygrisiau Reservoir and walking along side the Ffestiniog Railway and pass Ffestiniog power station. I then head down the valley to Rhyd Y Sarn where i came to the A496 road. It was then a very busy road to Llechrwd Campsite where i had a brake for 2 nights due to the extreme weather reported for next few days.

Any one taking on this route will have good navigation skills ok with strong winds on steep ridge walks. Have a very good level of fitness. I have personally found this trail to be the hardest in Britain. I found it even more hard than the Te Aroara trail in New Zealand which is much longer. Which i both carried 40 to 50kg on my back.

My pre summer solstice trip to Scotland June 2019. Summer solstice countdown 12/06/2019 New Tolsta is next the beach i wild camped last night at Traigh Mhòr a fantastic beach less than a house by bus from Stornoway. This morning heading back to Stornoway on the w5 bus. I stocked up on food and drink at Stornoway tesco supermarket. I charge my gear up for a hour at Stornoway Lewis Ferry Terminal.
