Day Three on the The Cambrian Way mountain trail 479 km (298 miles) with a total ascent of 22,460 m (73,700 ft). I think it could be Britain's hardest long distance trail. Its hard to say but looking at the map i think i started todays episode around the Mynydd Garnclochdy area i want give exact camping locations away. I was so wet from the rain all night i set about getting ready to walk around 4am just to keep warm. I was no risk at cold from the time of Year and in good health. So walked back up towards Mynydd Garnclochdy i think. The rain came back on top the hill. The rain was very bad so much so i could only see about couple of meters ahead what with the mist as well as the dark even with two powerful lights. By this time my cannon camera was destroyed by the weather i should know by now and my phone was useless take note people think phone navigation fine lucky i know this i used my garmin fenix3 gps watch with the track loaded onto so i knew i was heading in the general dir

Barra & Vatersay Giant slug found on remote beach maybe?
My pre summer solstice trip to Scotland June 2019. Summer solstice countdown 06/June/2019 day 2
last night i wild camped by castle bay on the isle of Barra. I walked all the way to Bagh A'Deas beach on the isle of Vatersay on the way i stopped at Co-op Food supermarket there are other shops in Castle bay but the Co-op Food was to tempting sorry if i had more time i would liked to check out the local independent shops. I did buy from one them in the evening on the first day. i also passed a War memorial for the first and second world war on the way. Well worth a look. There was a ancient round house on the way. From from now until the toilet and shower block i will be on the hebridean way which i have already walked twice. To get to Vatersay you cross a man made causeway. There was a phone box on the way with is of much amusement to when a see one and in such a remote area. The phone was still in the box but i think it long since its been fossilised and older than most stone circles i would think. There was also a bus shelter and post box on the way. There is a bus that goes from castle bay to Vatersay the W33 but maybe more easy to hitchhike or walk it like i did. I passed a plane wreck on the way. The pilot became disorientated during a night training exercise and the plane impacted a hill named Heishavel Beag on Vatersay Island. Three crew members died in the crash.
The deceased are: Flt Sgt David Clyne, Captain; Sgt R. (Fred) Basset, Wireless OP-AG; Sgt Patrick Hine, Rigger, mechanic. There wreckage is still there along with a memorial. Time stop and pause for thought at sites such as this for me. I did not camp by the shower block i carried on to a much better beach at called Bagh A'Deas. I also talk about how to back up your drone footage or any other footage while out in the field. I use a portable hard drive that can back up memory cards with out the need for a laptop.
