Day Three on the The Cambrian Way mountain trail 479 km (298 miles) with a total ascent of 22,460 m (73,700 ft). I think it could be Britain's hardest long distance trail. Its hard to say but looking at the map i think i started todays episode around the Mynydd Garnclochdy area i want give exact camping locations away. I was so wet from the rain all night i set about getting ready to walk around 4am just to keep warm. I was no risk at cold from the time of Year and in good health. So walked back up towards Mynydd Garnclochdy i think. The rain came back on top the hill. The rain was very bad so much so i could only see about couple of meters ahead what with the mist as well as the dark even with two powerful lights. By this time my cannon camera was destroyed by the weather i should know by now and my phone was useless take note people think phone navigation fine lucky i know this i used my garmin fenix3 gps watch with the track loaded onto so i knew i was heading in the general dir

Last night i camped at Uig bay
Uig (Lewis) otherwise known as West Uig is the largest and most sparsely populated district of the Isle of Lewis. It contains the highest point on the island, Mealasbhal (574m) and also another six of the highest ten peaks. The deepest lake, Loch Suaineabhat at 67m, is the deepest offshore lake in the British Isles. discovery of the largest sapphire ever found in the British Isles. The 242 carat stone discovered in 1995 is on display at the National Museum of Scotland. Uig district was a fruitful recruiting ground for soldiers in the 78th Seaforth Highlanders for the Napoleonic Wars. Despite military service and the ultimate sacrifice by many, the district was the subject of widespread evictions in the nineteenth century to make way for enlarged sheep farms and sporting estates.
Uig Beach is best known as the site where the Lewis Chessmen were found. Before 1831, a local crofter discovered a buried hoard of chess pieces, uncovered by a storm. They are mostly carved from walrus tusks, and probably originated in Norway sometime in the 12th century
This morning i made my favourite coffee and noodles. Then made my way to the road i managed to get a lift right away from a local lady. She drove me a short distance to Uig Community Shop where there is a near by bus stop i missed the w4 bus to Stornoway so i had to hitchhike which took me 2 lifts from Uig Community Shop. First lift dropped me of at Miavaig area by the turn of to Kneep beach another fantastic beach i been to in past but this time not got the time so the second lift took me all way to Stornoway. I had little time to digital hoboing charging my gear up at the ferry port only just enough time to restock on food at tescos supermarket as i wanted to catch the W5 bus to New Tolsta. Do not make same mistake i did more than once here now and in past get on the a bus thinking the bus number is always goes same location it does not on this island so i ended up over hour on the wrong bus lucky for me there was another bus later that day the last one which i manged to make and get on. New Tolsta is next the beach i will wildcamp tonight at Traigh Mhòr a fantastic beach less than a house by bus from Stornoway.

Summer solstice countdown 12/06/2019 New Tolsta is next the beach i wild camped last night at Traigh Mhòr a fantastic beach less than a house by bus from Stornoway. This morning heading back to Stornoway on the w5 bus. I stocked up on food and drink at Stornoway tesco supermarket. I charge my gear up for a hour at Stornoway Lewis Ferry Terminal. I got the W10 bus back to Tarbert. Charged my gear up at Tarbert Ferry Terminal. Had some fantastic fish and chips from AD's Takeaway. had quick look around not sure why i been here many times before but anyway its not changed atall. I got the ferry to Uig on the isle of Skye the coast for a foot passenger was £6.50 this correct at time of uploading this video. I been to Uig on Isle skye so many times i lost count.
