Day Three on the The Cambrian Way mountain trail 479 km (298 miles) with a total ascent of 22,460 m (73,700 ft). I think it could be Britain's hardest long distance trail. Its hard to say but looking at the map i think i started todays episode around the Mynydd Garnclochdy area i want give exact camping locations away. I was so wet from the rain all night i set about getting ready to walk around 4am just to keep warm. I was no risk at cold from the time of Year and in good health. So walked back up towards Mynydd Garnclochdy i think. The rain came back on top the hill. The rain was very bad so much so i could only see about couple of meters ahead what with the mist as well as the dark even with two powerful lights. By this time my cannon camera was destroyed by the weather i should know by now and my phone was useless take note people think phone navigation fine lucky i know this i used my garmin fenix3 gps watch with the track loaded onto so i knew i was heading in the general dir

My pre summer solstice trip to Scotland June 2019.
Summer solstice countdown 13/06/2019
Last night i camped at devils crack my secret wild camping location. This morning i will be heading back to Uig. On the way to Uig i found what looked like a ancient cairn of some type not listed on the OS map. Weather is a little bit better today. I made it to Uig where i charged up my gear for a bit while waiting for the 57C stagecoach bus to Portree. In Portree i got some fish and chips from from the harbour fish and chip take away. The fish and chips was not that crisp so can not say there in my top list of fish and chips but was ok. I had alook around portree not sure why as i have million times before was just kill time. There is a nice like coast path walk in the town. I got the 52 stagecoach bus to Broadford. Had a look at the Calum Robertson memorial. It reads This stone was raised on the 16th March 1995 to honour the name of Calum Robertson of Broadforda Skyeman who loved his island and served the people well Faithful Forever. I also took a look at the James Ross memorial. Legend holds that the recipe for the liqueur Drambuie was given by Bonnie Prince Charlie to Clan MacKinnon who then passed it onto James Ross late 19th century. Ross ran the Broadford Inn (now the Broadford Hotel), where he developed and improved the recipe, initially for his friends and then later to patrons. Ross then began to sell it further afield and the name was registered as a trademark in 1893.
I then took a hike up the Skye trail on the Broadford Marble Line to wild camp at marble quarries at Kilchrist
I made my way down to Church of Kilchrist Cill Chriosd. It was constructed around the 16th century, replacing an earlier Medieval church on the same location, and was used until 1840. The location is thought to have a heritage of Christian worship dating back to the 7th century. Records from 1913 show that there were a pair of unusual gravemarkers in the graveyard - one dedicated to Chief Lachlan Mor and carrying "obscure hieroglyphics", the other possibly dating from the pre-Christian era. However, both have since vanished. The graveyeard appears in the 1984 video Lament, from Ultravox
In today's episode i talk about how you can get cheap public transport by braking the journey up booking in advance and even using local bus service such as stage coach to join them up and make a long distance trip with them on a day ticket. With national express book at least month in advance and same with trains. For trains brake the Journey up alot the time it works out cheap to buy tickets for each station change. For trains for your train is at least 30 minutes late you can claim money back on your ticket and if its one hour late you get the full ticket price back so hope and pray your train is over a hour late for a free train trip.
I also talk about satellite phones in today's episode
