Day Three on the The Cambrian Way mountain trail 479 km (298 miles) with a total ascent of 22,460 m (73,700 ft). I think it could be Britain's hardest long distance trail. Its hard to say but looking at the map i think i started todays episode around the Mynydd Garnclochdy area i want give exact camping locations away. I was so wet from the rain all night i set about getting ready to walk around 4am just to keep warm. I was no risk at cold from the time of Year and in good health. So walked back up towards Mynydd Garnclochdy i think. The rain came back on top the hill. The rain was very bad so much so i could only see about couple of meters ahead what with the mist as well as the dark even with two powerful lights. By this time my cannon camera was destroyed by the weather i should know by now and my phone was useless take note people think phone navigation fine lucky i know this i used my garmin fenix3 gps watch with the track loaded onto so i knew i was heading in the general dir

2. The Cambrian Way Lightening Rain wind storm OEX bush pro Bivvi slipped lost mat wet sleeping bag.

Day two on the The Cambrian Way mountain trail 479 km (298 miles) with a total ascent of 22,460 m (73,700 ft). I think it could be Britain's hardest long distance trail. I was in the OEX bush pro bivvi with a light weight summer mat and a summer mountain Mountain Equipment sleeping bag. In the early hours the rain started and then came the lightening i was around 300 meters high on a ridge. I was not sure how far away the lightening was as there was no typical bangs alot the time but it looked very close. The dark sky light up like a giant camera flash. My sleeping got wet from the strong rain but was still ok for another night in the Bivvi. In the morning i set of over the Caerphilly train tunnel by a disused quarry. Next town was Machen which has the last supermarket right on trail until Abergavenny. There is a COOP supermarket at Machen and Machen stores which is what i used. From the village it was a steep at times walk up Mynydd Machen a 362-metre-high (1,188 ft) hill. It was incredibly windy at the top 60mph gusts there was a storm warning for 24 hours from today. Walking down from the hill towards Risca. The shops at Risca town are a good walk of the trail so i gave them a miss i had enough drink and food with me. From the town i headed up to Twmbarlwm fort. From the fort it was a long walk in the wind and rain to Pontypool. At the town there is a Tesco's where i stocked up on drink and food. Machen - Alfred Edward Morgans (17 February 1850 – 10 August 1933), Premier of Western Australia for just 32 days in 1901, was born in Machen. Men from Machen participate in one of the world's longest running epidemiology studies. Angeology – The Fourth Heaven, Machanon or Machen is ruled by Archangel Michael, "Is the site of the heavenly Jerusalem, the holy Temple and its Altar". It is said to house the city of Christ and is the native seat of the angels Risca - The Welsh Oak, a pub on the outskirts of Pontymister, was the meeting place for the Chartists before they marched on Newport during the Newport Rising of 1839. Twmbarlwm - also known as Twm Barlwm, Twyn Barlwm or locally known as "the Twmp" (translation: hump), the Nipple or the Pimple because of the mound that lies at its summit. It is often mistakenly referred to as a mountain but is actually a hill due to being under 600 m (2,000 ft). It is 419 m (1,375 ft) high. Is presumed to be an Iron Age hillfort, believed to have been built by the Silures, the Celtic tribe that inhabited the area before and during Roman times. There was also thereafter possibly a Roman signal point and a substantial Norman motte-and-bailey castle which is incorporated into the eastern end of the fort. It features heavily in local folk legends with tales of a giant buried here, and treasure, supposedly guarded by swarms of bees. Local legend says that the druids regarded it as a sacred site and a place of judgement.
